As you can see the average price for a boxing ticket £40-£60, and yes that is more expensive than going to a football match or the cinema. However when you consider a football game is 90 minutes and a film is about 2 and half hours. A full night of boxing from the first bell to last is around the 6 hour mark and you will see around 12 fights I think that is good value for money.
I believe the reason a lot of boxing fans think that boxing is too expensive is because a lot of them only turn up for the last few fights. When you buy a ticket for a night of boxing your paying for the whole night which works out at roughly £5 a fight. So the best way to get value for money from a night of boxing is to go and enjoy the whole night. Look at it this way you wouldn’t go to a football match with only 10 minutes too go so why do the same sort of thing with boxing.
I know this is a controversial subject and it’s a matter of personal opinion so please comment below and let me know what you think.
Must agree the amount of time I go to the boxing and the arena doesn’t fill up to nearly the main event I don’t understand why they bother because there are times when people like myself can’t get tickets because of these people getting court up in hype but you don’t see them at the everyday boxing matches?.
