Fight Night Preview 30th November 2018

fight night, preview

Ok fight fans it’s that time of the week again fight night preview time this Friday we are in Italy for a night of championship action. All the action will be live on Sky Sports Action from 8pm.

Andrea Scarpa V Joe Hughes

This fight is for the vacant European Super Lightweight title. Andrea Scarpa comes into this title fight with a record of 23-4 with 10 knockouts. He has won 4 out of his last 6 fights, but only 1 of those wins came by knockout. Last time out he beat Luka Leskovic on points to set up this title fight.

Joe Hughes comes into this fight with a record of 16-3-1 with 7 knockouts. He has won 3 out of his last 6 fights with 2 losses and 1 draw, however only 1 of those wins came by knockout. In his last fight he stopped Ruben Rodríguez in the 6th round.

This is going to be a very close fight that will probably go the distance because neither man are big punchers. Although this should be an entertaining fight to watch if I had to pick a winner I would go for Scarpa because he’s the home fighter and he’s fought at this level before.

Devis Boschiero V Martin J Ward

This fight is for the vacant WBA International Silver championship. Devis Boschiero comes into this fight with a record of 46-5-2 with 21 knockouts. He has won 5 out of his last 6 fights but none of those wins came by knockout. The only blot on his recent record came in his last fight when he was held to a draw by Maycal Antonio Escobar Cuevas.

Martin J Ward comes into this fight with a record of 20-1-2 with 10 knockouts. He’s won 5 out of his last 6 fights, 2 of them by knockout. He’s done well to get his career back on track after been knocked out by James Tennyson in the 5th round earlier this year. In his last fight he knocked out Mohammed Kambuluta in the 2nd round.

This is a must win fight for both men if they want to get into the world title picture. This is going to be a very close fight, I think Wards best chance of winning is to try and get off to a fast start and go looking for the knockout early. If not I can see Boschiero starting to take control and box his way home.

Fabio Turchi V Tony Conquest

This fight is for the WBC International Silver title. Fabio Turchi comes into this fight with a perfect professional record of 15-0 with 11 Knockouts. He’s knocked out 4 of his last 6 opponents, in his last fight he won a unanimous decision over Yassine Habachi.

Tony Conquest comes into this fight with a record of 18-2 with 6 knockouts. He’s won 5 out of his last 6 fights, but only 1 of those wins came by knockout. In his last fight he scored the knockout over Marcus Alberts in the 5th round

I think you have to make Turchi the big favourite for this one because he’s a big puncher, he’s undefeated and he’s the home fighter. I can see him coming out fast looking for the stoppage to make a statement. I think Conquests best and possibly only chance to win is to keep the fight at range and look to out box Turchi.

Hope you enjoy the fights and comment below and let me know your predictions
