Ok fight fans it’s that time of the week again fight night preview time, this week we enter the lion’s den in Germany. All the action will be live on Sky Sports Arena from 9.45pm.
Tyron Zeuge V Rocky Fielding
This fight will be Tyron Zeuge’s 4th defence of his WBA world title. He comes into this fight with an undefeated record of 22-0-1 with 12 knockouts. He’s won 5 out of his last 6 fights but only 2 of them by knockout. The only blot on his record came back in 2016 when he was held to a draw by Giovanni De Carolis. In his last fight he knocked out Isaac Ekpo in the 2nd round in their rematch. I do have one criticism of Tyron Zeuge I know he’s a world class fighter and a world champion, but how can you be champion of the world when you’ve fought your whole career in your home country.
Rocky Fielding comes into this fight his first shot at a world title with a record of 26-1 with 14 knockouts. He’s won 5 out of his last 6 fights 3 of them by knockout the only blot on his record came in that all Merseyside clash with Callum Smith as Rocky was destroyed in the opening round. Last time out he won on points over Karel Horejsek.
So who’s going to win this huge world title fight you would have to make Tyron Zeuge the clear favourite for this one, because he’s a world class fighter and he’s in front of a home crowd which can make a big difference to a fighter. He’s also beaten British boxers before when he beat Paul Smith by unanimous decision back in 2017. However this is not going to be an easy fight for him because Rocky Fielding is a very good fighter. I believe that if he can stick to his boxing skills so his foot work and his jab, and if he can stick to his own game plan and not get drawn into Zeuge’s kind of fight then he may be able to win the fight on points. One thing’s for sure in order to bring the title home he’s going to have to put in a career best performance.
I would like to apologise for this brief preview but I will be writing a review of all the action. As always I love to hear what you guys think can Rocky Fielding pull off his own Rocky story.
